Piper Kerman,a Boston-bred, Smith graduate, details her experience within the legal system after being convicted more than 10 years after her offense. Ms. Kerman was charged and eventually convicted of money laundering for a friend who trafficked heroin. She discussed her incarceration with author and former undercover prison guard Ted Conover.
