About This Video

The National Museum of African American History and Culture is poised to be opened by the Smithsonian on the National Mall in 2015. Lonnie Bunch, the founding director, talked about the mission and vision of the museum as he displayed an architectural model in the museum staff's temporary office space. He then gave a tour of the storage facility where he showed artifacts that would be on display in the new building.
